Ian Steel - Chairman
He founded Instaflow Showers in 1973 which supplied and installed electric showers and bathrooms. He was Chairman and Managing Director until 1986 when he sold his shareholding.

In 1975 he co-founded and was the majority shareholder and Chairman of Triton plc which designed, manufactured and distributed electric instantaneous showers and water heaters. The company established more than a 40% market share in the UK and was probably the world’s largest manufacturer of this product type. The company was sold to Norcros plc in September 1987 for £27.5 million.

In 1990 he acquired a 90% shareholding of Early Years Child Care plc which has now grown to be among the market leaders with more than 12 facilities around the country.

In 1994, together with Martin Pollins and others, he was instrumental in co-founding Pavilion Internet plc, one of the first internet service providers in the UK.

Martin Pollins is a Chartered Accountant with wide experience in corporate finance and business management. He holds a number of directorships and has served on the boards of several companies, including those listed on the London Stock Exchange, AIM and OFEX.

He was a Council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales from 1988 to 1996.

Jason Piette - Director
After obtaining an MA from Christ’s College, Cambridge, he spent five years as an account manager in various advertising agencies, then moved on as head of development for Lombard Productions and then Halcyon Pictures producing TV commercials, a US$7 million drama series Magic for TV, The Story of E, (a documentary about the E-Type Jaguar), and was involved as a writer and producer of cinema commercials for Cats, Phantom of the Opera, and Starlight Express.

In 1994, he co-founded and became joint managing director of Spice Factory (UK) Limited. He has produced/co-produced a number of successful films including the US$5 million New Blood, the US$7 million Pilgrim followed by a string of successful productions such as the US$8 million film Plots with a View, the US$18 million Heist and the £23 million Napoleon. More recently, he produced Strayed (in competition in Cannes 2003), A Different Loyalty, Head In The Clouds, The Bridge Of San Luis Rey and Merchant of Venice.

 

Michael Cowan - Director

After education at Lancing College, he spent four years at a film and TV school where he produced a string of award winning shorts and films as a student. In 1990 he set up Iguana Video and TV to distribute titles such as The Dream Boys and Chippendales as well as producing entertainment shows for Channel 4 television.

In 1994, he co-founded and became joint managing director of Spice Factory (UK) Limited (at the time, 51% owned by EMG plc but bought outright through an MBO in 1997 to concentrate on film and TV). He has produced/co-produced a number of uccessful films including the US$18 million Heist, the US$23 million Napoleon, he US$5 million Anazapta, the US$8 million Plots with a View and the US$3 million Dying to Go Home. More recently, he produced Strayed (in competition in Cannes 2003), A Different Loyalty, Head In The Clouds, The Bridge Of San Luis Rey and Merchant of Venice.
